Stay Calm: We Provide Information about Customs Tariff Numbers and Passar

Customers frequently ask us about the changes regarding new customs tariff numbers from January 1, 2024. The BAZG has published all relevant information on its website. This allows preparations for the year 2023 to be made with respect to master data maintenance.

Contrary to some statements from competitors, the transition from e-dec to Passar does not require extensive adjustments. All relevant information regarding Passar 1.0 with the necessary adaptations is available on the BAZG website. We recommend obtaining the information directly from the BAZG website.

The start of testing for the transition from e-dec to Passar 1.0 was postponed to March 17, 2024. New information will be published on November 20, 2023, at www.passar.admin.ch.

Information on Passar 2.0 will be officially announced on December 18, 2023, and we will then inform you firsthand about the key points.
